Landscape

Size: A3. Overlay of drawings from the landscape of Barbara Hepworth's Sculpture garden in St Ives, Cornwall.

Tepee

Size: 30 cm tall. Exploring balance and how weight and materials effect a structure. Materials included: Wax, plaster, wire, bamboo, mud rock.

London 2014

Photograph recently taken in London. Was drawn to the reflection of the building on the right which appears to vanish into the sky.

Takasugi-an Tea House, Japan

Size: A3. Pencil drawing of Takasugi-an tea house designed by architect Terunobu Fujimoriin in Chino, Japan. The craftsmanship involved in engineering and assembling this unique piece of architecture is what drew me to study it. Moreover it's use is beautiful and simple; with a interior built with plaster and bamboo this building is quiet and harmonious, and literally elevated from society allowing it to be a extension of the architects personal inner peace.

Paper Sculpture Maquette

Focusing on the structure of skeletons and the spine to recreate the structure using shredded paper.
